Since 2003, New Color has had a truly advanced powder painting plant (built by Officine Munari of Vicenza) and this plant was further upgraded in 2006.
After the pre-treatment and wash, and before the true and proper painting, the piece is dried for approximately 15 minutes at 150°C. Once it is perfectly dry, the piece moves on to the painting phase.
Inside the painting cabin, the piece is painted by 12 industrial robots which spray the epoxy polyester powder from the outside, thus creating a 120 micron thick film. In addition, the cabin has two manual workstations which are constantly monitored by two skilled operators.
An electromagnetic field running through the plant causes the powder to adhere to the piece.
Once uniformly covered with powder, the piece enters a polymerization oven at 180/200°C.
